If you deleted the sample file then that can be restored from the settings menu.
If you've only just deleted a project of your own then you might be able to restore the iPad from its most recent backup, assuming the backup would have included the file that you have lost. You need to be careful what options you have for syncing however, otherwise iTunes may try to update the backup the moment you connect the device, removing the option to restore the files. Under Edit > Preferences >Devices make sure Prevent iPods, iPhones and iPads from syncing automatically is ticked.
I accidentally deleted GarageBand app from my MacBook Pro. How can I reload it? MacBook Pro 13″, OS X 10.11 Posted on Jul 1, 2021 12:56 AM. Feb 03, 2021 GarageBand is really a great application to create tracks. If you lost GarageBand files due to deletion, macOS crash, GarageBand crash, hard drive failure, or other reasons, then you’re able to recover deleted or lost GarageBand files with the software built-in AutoSave and iBeesoft Data Recovery for Mac.

Alternatively, if you have 'exported the project to iTunes' you can restore that, but otherwise it has gone. The iPad doesn't have a trash can.

If you have a backup of your device on itunes or icloud you might be able to restore the song from backup if it's on there.

I don't use Garageband, but is there a way for you to upload your tracks to Dropbox before erasing an iPad?
I'm guessing it was that number one hit the world's been waiting for?

That's a bummer. I live in fear of — actually, I'm not even going to say it out loud.
I've asked before, but the answer was dishearteningly complicated. Is there really no easy way to back up all your songs and sounds?

I'm incredibly cheap (but only with really important things, like data backup and organic produce), and I was hesitant to sign on for yet another automatically renewing charge that I'll lose track of, and upon which I'll become dependent. But I guess iCloud is as good as any other service....

Well I spent more in BeatHawk IAPs in 10 minutes than I spend for a year of peace of mind with iCloud
